New MCFF Scholarships Launched

MCFF has doubled the number of scholarships that it awards every year with four to be awarded this spring.
This includes a collaboration between MCFF and the McCook Economic Development Corp. for the new McCook Learn and Return Scholarship, which encourages young people to return to their hometown to pursue their career. The incentive is a scholarship in return to agreeing to work in their community for a certain number of years or have to pay back the scholarship funds.

McCook Connects Bringing People Together

McCook Connects is a program developed by Community Hospital and MCFF to help connect newcomers and those visiting for a short time such as medical students with current residents who share a hobby or are of similar age. 

The group also hosts events, such as a gathering during Third Thursdays. 

The latest endevour is McCook Connects Coffee on the first Saturday each month. From 9-11 a.m. at Ember's Bakery, people gather over coffee and donuts. You can be new to town or lived in McCook for years, of any age or gender.  

Plus there are goodie bags with resources available in the community.
